We, Academic & Intellectual Development Bureau SRC USIM has looked into various matters regarding academic for the students. Out of all the issues we have seen, we have focused our bureau on one issue that has been experienced by the students in USIM,
which is language, specifically MUET.
Before moving further, let us just give an overview on what has been the ground of our projects throughout the semester.
Our Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & International) , Y. Bhg. Professor Dato' Dr. Musa Ahmad has always highlighted on how Band 3 in MUET examination is no longer a demand by a university, but it has been a requirement by most universities to have their graduates to pass Band 3 MUET examination.
"Isu MUET Band 3 sebagai syarat bergraduasi telah satu dekad diputuskan oleh Senat USIM...! Sebagai bakal graduan al-Abrar USIM, kompetensi dlm BI dirasakan amat penting...! Kompetensi ini juga mampu memberi imej positif bagi pelajar lepasan sekolah agama yg memasuki USIM...! Kalaulah pandangan jauh Senat USIM ini dihayati & didokong sepenuhnya oleh siswa/i USIM"

We acknowledge the fact on how our students are struggling to deal with this issue. We also realize how hard our students are coping with this issue especially those from Arabic-based program/faculty.
